Everything feels better with a book, a blanket and a brew in your new favourite cup.
The pottery process
Handmade by Caroline and the makers at Clay Studio.
These tactile, huggable cups are made from beautiful and practical speckled stoneware, meaning you can pop your cup in the dishwasher.
They are formed using a pinch pot method, so are lovely to hold, as your fingers fit into the dimples left by the maker as they pinched the clay.
The bases of the cups are then turned on the potter's wheel to form a traditional foot ring, blending hand built and hand thrown pottery styles.
The cream cups are brushed with a combination of matt dolomite and glossy tin glazes, creating a subtle sheen that looks beautiful against coffee and hot chocolate.
Red iron oxide is used to glaze the russet cups, giving them the appearance of autumn leaves. Frothy coffee looks stunning in these, as well as builder's tea - these cups make a beautiful partner to the Cauldon Pottery Brown Betty teapots.
