Transport yourself back to the 1970s where earthy tones, psychedelic patterns and the free-wheeling spirit was strong. This striking vintage Fat Lava drip glaze vase from Weston Mill Pottery captures those hazy days, injecting nostalgia and mid-century character to a shelf or cosy corner.
Handmade in Weston Mill Pottery, Newark, this vintage mid-centrury vase showcases the drip glaze style otherwise known as Fat Lava that is synonymous with West German pottery of the time. Its earthy tones flow and meld together, creating the lava-like effect that is so evocative of the 70s.
The base of the vase reveals grooves from the potter’s wheel, small ridge marks where the vase was sliced from it and a faint Weston Mill backstamp.
