A lovely trio of stackable 1970s Kiln Craft horse and hound mugs in brown and cream.
Kiln Craft was a trading name of Staffordshire Potteries Limited, which grew out of the Keele Street Pottery (KSP) group. The Kiln Craft brand was introduced in 1972 and the brand became a kichen staple in British homes throughout the 70s and 80s. Kiln Craft is enjoying a renaissance among those who love mid-century style.
The embossed motifs feature an array of horses, hounds and riders against a backdrop of farmers fields and country cottages.
One design also features a pair of dogs leaping over a rickety fence and fallen log into farmland complete with clucking hens, ramshackle outbuildings and wintery skies.
Each mug is stamped on the reverse ‘Made in England’.
All are free from chips and cracks. There is some age-related crazing to the outside - much like humans have wrinkles as they age, pottery develops crazing ‘wrinkles’ as it ages.
Ready to become part of your home’s story.
