This quirky jug vase is in lovely condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. The matt glaze is a beautiful barley colour and features a squirrel climbing up the side of a giant acorn.
This is one of the first models of the vase which was designed with a pouring spout. SylvaC added the spout so that the vase could be classed as kitchenalia, to get around purchase tax rules.
Note: There’s a tiny slip casting hole on the handle, which happened during the manufacturing process and is fairly common among SylvaC squirrel jugs. There's also some faint water marks inside the jug (see picture) but these aren't visible once the jug is filled with flowers.
The Hygge Factor
A subtle way to add some woodland magic to your room, it would look lovely with an armful of dried grasses cascading from it or wild, hedgerow finds.
It would also make a beautiful, unusual gift for anyone who loves vintage homeware or for use in a coffee shop, tea room or holiday cottage.
