A stunning 1920s/1930s amber apothecary style jar featuring embossed ‘Virol’ logo. These amber glass jars replaced the cream Virol stoneware jars in the early 1920s.
Virol was a malt extract developed and produced by the Bovril company and was marketed as a food supplement, along with cod liver oil and dried milk in the campaign to nourish post-war children.
The glass is in good condition, with no scratches or chips.
