If you’re partial to wandering around gathering leaves, mossy twigs and berries to decorate your house, you’re also likely to have wondered at some point what that tree over there is.
This vintage Octopus guide contains over 300 bright and beautiful illustrations of many familiar trees, including favourites Horse-chestnut, English Yew, Rowan, common Oak and Scots Pine.
Each short accompanying entry reveals interesting snippets about each tree (I didn’t know that sycamore is often used to craft musical instruments).
The book bindings are tight and pages are free from dog-ears. The dust-jacket is showing a few signs of wear and tear (see close up) but other than that it’s in lovely vintage condition and is ready to be reloved.
Lovely to leaf through (see what I did there) with a brew and a flapjack.
