The epitome of cottagecore style! This gorgeous Peek and Frean biscuit tin is in great condition - no obvious scratches, dings or scuff marks and the lid is still gloriously colourful, with minimal fading.
Featuring a chocolate-box thatched cottage on the lid and a floral garland design encircling the perimeter of the tin.
Based in Bermondsey, London, Peek and Frean was originally founded by James Peek, a tea merchant. Peek’s sons didn’t want to continue in the tea trade, so he suggested setting up a biscuit company to complement the family business.
After Peek set up the company, one son died and the other emigrated. After 126 years, the Peek and Frean factory doors closed for good in November 1989.
